Kansas Releases Challenging Non-Conference Schedule

The University of Kansas has released it’s non-conference men’s basketball schedule which will include games with Kentucky and Ohio State and possibly Duke. The Jayhawks, who lost six key members of the team that just went 35-3, could face as many as three defending regular-season champions.

The Jayhawks will play Kentucky on Nov. 15 in the inaugural Champions Classic in Madison Square Garden. Ohio State, the Big Ten regular-season and tournament champion, visits Allen Fieldhouse on Dec. 10. On Dec. 22, the Jayhawks will travel to Los Angeles to play USC, which lost to Kansas 70-68 in Allen Fieldhouse last December.

Kansas will face 10 non-conference opponents who appeared in the 2011 postseason. The Jayhawks will also participate in the Maui Invitational in Hawaii, a field that includes Duke, UCLA, Georgetown, Memphis, Tennessee and Michigan. The Jayhawks will open the regular-season against Towson on Nov. 11 in the first round of the Maui Invitational.

Fort Hays State visits Allen Fieldhouse for an exhibition game Nov. 1.
