UPDATE: One person died and 10 were injured in a Memorial Day accident in central Kansas.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says the accident occurred late Monday on Interstate 70 about 13 miles northeast of Ellsworth.

Twelve people, mostly from Mexico, were in the 2003 Dodge Durango. The patrol says the driver, Enry Morales, lost control and the vehicle rolled into the center median. None of the people in the car wore seat belts, and several were thrown from the car. Morales was not injured.

Seventeen-year-old Cleodove Guzman-Rosario died in the accident. Ten other passengers were taken to hospitals in Salina, Ellsworth and Wichita.

Injured were:

– Enry Morales, 30, UNKNOWN.
– David Aguilar, 28, Chiapas Mexico. Aguilar was transported to Salina Regional Health Center.

– Veronica Perez, 21, from Chiapas Mexico. Perez was transported to Salina Regional Health Center.

– Cristobal Perez-Perez, 26, from Guatemala. Perez was transported to Salina Regional Health Center.

– Delmar Rodriguez-Gonzalea, 16, from Chiapas Mexico. Rodriguez was transported to Salina Regional Health Center

– Ulises Oroseo-Careona, 33, from Guatemala. Oroseo was transported by Lifestar to St. Francis Hospital.

– Mateo Pedro-Lopez, UNKNOWN, transported to Ellsworth Medical Center.

– Edan Galvez, UNKNOWN, transported to Ellsworth Medical Center.

– Celestino Santos-Domingo, 26, UNKNOWN, transported to St. Francis Hospital.

– Martina Thomas, 26, UNKNOWN, transported to Ellsworth Medical Center.

– Alejandro Perez-Perez,  UNKNOWN, transported to Salina Regional Health Center.

– Lorenzo Guzman-Rosario, UNKNOWN.

– Imer Domingo, UNKNOWN.
