Truck driver injured after strong winds blow over semi on I-70

Heavy winds are to blame for one injury on I-70 Monday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a semi was East-bound on I-70 in the driving lane when it crested a large hill approximately two and half miles East of Ogallah on I-70. at around 6:26 PM. Wind blew the truck and trailer over onto its side, blocking the East-bound lanes.

53-year-old Robert Leat, the driver, was injured and transported to Trego County – Lemke Memorial Hospital.
