A 61-year-old New Cambria woman is a victim of a mail scam according to The Saline County Sheriffs Office. The woman recently received a check in the mail for $4,950 from a company called “Kennedy Trust Inc.”
She followed the instructions that came with the check and placed it in a savings account.
Then she received three calls, two from a man calling himself Ken Coy, and one from a woman saying her name was Lisa Parker.
She wired money to them in the amount of $4,725 dollars before being told by her bank Thursday, that the check she had gotten in the mail was not real.
