UPDATE:ELLSWORTH, Kan. (AP) — Officials are investigating the cause of a fire in the building that houses the Ellsworth County Independent-Reporter in central Kansas.
The fire Sunday evening engulfed the nearly 100-year-old building in downtown Ellsworth. No injuries were reported.
The Wichita Eagle reported that roofs collapsed, but the extent of the full damage wasn’t known.
The newspaper, which moved to the building in 2005 and has a staff of seven, was expected to publish this week.

UPDATE: The roof of the Ellsworth Newspaper building collapsed during the fire. Everyone had exited safely and no injuries have been reported.
UPDATE: The fire is reportedly contained at this time.
According to witnesses, the building that housed the Ellsworth Newspaper was damaged significantly.
Fire crews from Ellsworth, Kanopolis, Lincoln are still on the scene.
