KCP&L installing vehicle charging stations

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (AP) – Kansas City Power & Light will be installing 10 electric vehicle charging stations across the Kansas City region, funded by a U.S. Department of Energy grant.

The utility says the stations will be installed in both Kansas and Missouri in the metropolitan area. The specific locations and vendors were to be announced Friday at a news conference at Black and Veach Corp. in Overland Park, Kan.

KCP&L is working with the Kansas City Regional Clean Cities Coalition on the charging stations and will be administering the DOE grant.
