Police Say Pedestrian’s Death In Kansas Might Be A Homicide

TOPEKA, Kan. — Topeka police are investigating a pedestrian’s death as a possible homicide.

Fifty-two-year-old Robin Nicholson of Topeka died Sunday night after she was hit by a car. Police say she was trying to retrieve a stray dog when she was hit by a white SUV that then sped away.

Police Lt. Steve Taylor told The Topeka Capital-Journal that the case is being investigated as a homicide.

Nicholson died after being taken by ambulance to Stormont-Vail Hospital.
