WICHITA, KS — Verizon Wireless announced today that it is bringing the world’s first large-scale 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network to Wichita, Kansas, on July 21.

Residents in the city of Wichita, including the downtown Wichita area, Haysville, Derby, Mulvane, Park City, Valley Center, Kechi, Maize, Greenwich and the Wichita Mid-Continent Airport who have 4G LTE smartphones, laptop modems and hot spots will be able to take advantage of speeds up to 10 times faster than the company’s 3G network.
