Mrs. Bernice M. Ramsey, 78, of Salina, passed away, Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 at her residence.
She was born in Carlton, Kansas on September 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Edward and Olga M. (Mitchell) Machulda.
Bernice graduated high school at Chapman, KS and worked as a bookkeeper.
She married John W. Ramsey on December 1, 1950 in Carlton, KS, he survives of the home.
Bernice loved her family. She was proud to married to her husband for 60 years, and was overjoyed to spend time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, John, Bernice is survived by her daughter, Jada A. Ramsey of Gladstone, KS; son, Jon A. Ramsey and wife Sharlene of Salina; sister, Clara L. Lager of Leavenworth; brother, Thomas E. Machulda of Fountain Valley, Calif.; half sisters, Betty, Barbara, Donna, and Carol of the Abilene area; grandson, Bailey Ramsey; and granddaughter, Elyse Ramsey both of Salina.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert R. Machulda.
There will be visitation with the family present to greet friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday, July 22 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. Private family graveside services will be held at Prairie Dale Cemetery at Talmage, KS.
