The Salina Walmart has become the victim of a ‘quick change’ scam artist.

Around 5:30 on June 14th, a woman went to the Money Center of the store. She purchased a $10 gift card and also had a large amount of cash in her hand. While asking questions of the clerk, the woman kept asking to change the bills she had.

During the distraction the woman was able to get an extra $1,090 in cash.

The gift card was used in Barnwell South Carolina. The case was discovered and reported to police on July 29th.
