A 44-year-old Kansas woman faces possible charges after police say she encouraged her son to throw a brick at another child during a fight.

The two boys got involved in a squabble Sunday in their Wichita neighborhood. KSNW-TV reports they went at it again Monday, with an argument escalating into a fight.

Witnesses told police the woman urged her 12-year-old son to pick up a brick and throw it at the 11-year-old. The brick hit the younger boy in the forehead, opening a cut that needed treatment at a hospital.

Police arrested the 12-year-old and his mother — the boy on suspicion of battery, the woman on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
