The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has dropped nine cents in the past three weeks.
That’s according to the Lundberg Survey of fuel prices, released Sunday, which puts the price of a gallon of regular at $3.61.
Midgrade costs an average of $3.76 a gallon and premium was at $3.87.
Diesel was down a nickel, to $3.94 a gallon.
According to GasBuddy.com, the lowest price in Salina is $3.41 at Sam’s Club. The lowest price in Kansas is $3.22 in Topeka. 
Of the cities surveyed, Tucson had the nation’s lowest average price for gas at $3.26. Chicago had the highest at $3.97.
In California, the lowest average price was $3.65 in Fresno and San Franciscans paid the highest price at $3.77. The average statewide was $3.71, down about seven cents.
