An early morning head-on accident injured two people – one critically.

The driver of a car was westbound on Highway 50 and collided with a semi-truck headed eastbound. After the collision both vehicles went into the opposite ditches alongside the roadway.

The driver of the car was transported from the scene to a Wichita hospital by helicopter. He was the only occupant in the car.

The driver of the semi-truck was transported to Stafford Hospital. A passenger was not injured.
