A 55-year-old man was arrested Wednesday morning for making threats against a neighbor with what turned out to be a toy gun.
Police were sent to the 500 block of S. 11th about 9:20 am after a man had called to report his neighbor pointed a small revolver at him and accused him of spying on him.
After officers arrived the man refused to come out of his house and threw the gun outside.
Around a half hour after police had set up a perimeter around the house, the man did come outside and was taken into custody.
In a search of the home, police had found several opened tubes of model airplane glue and the odor of the glue was through out the house.
Joe Hixson junior was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, inhaling toxic vapors, and resisting arrest.
