Authorities say a 24-year-old woman and her 4-month-old daughter have been found dead in a suburban Kansas City home.

The Kansas City Star reports that Amber Searles and her 4-month-old daughter, Kyra O. Searles-Davis, were found dead in their Olathe home on Friday.

A 31-year-old man was booked at the Johnson County jail late Friday afternoon on suspicion of first-degree murder.

Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe said he couldn’t comment on the details of the case Saturday because it was still under investigation.
