A 28-year-old Salina man has been arrested in connection with three cases where shots were fired into vehicles and a house between September 21st and 23rd.
Police arrested James Armstrong Friday after he ran from the Gray Pontiac Aztek with 30-inch rims,that was seen in the area of the three shootings. The SUV was parked at the Food Mart at 9th and Crawford, when Armstrong took off on foot.
He was taken into custody by citizens in the 600 block of S. 12th as he was apparently running to his home at 620 S. 12th.
The citizens heard his description on the scanner and held him until officers arrived. The other two occupants in the SUV were not arrested. Armstrong allegedly fired a shot into a home in the 14 hundred block of Lewis on September 21st and into two vehicles on September 23rd.
Police did find evidence of shots being fired from inside the SUV. Damage in the three shooting cases total $1,755.
