Salina Police want to continue to remind people that counterfeit $50 bills are being passed in Salina.

The latest counterfeit $50 was found at Sunflower Bank and had the serial number of IJO1666446a.

The bogus bills are actually $1 bills, and have no security strips in them.

If you get a $50 your are advised to make sure it has the security strip in it and check the serial number to see if it matches the one on the phony fifty.
