Authorities have identified the victim of an all-terrain vehicle accident as a 21-year-old Lawrence man.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reported that Preston Scheibler was killed in a crash that apparently happened late Friday night or early Saturday. His body wasn’t discovered until after dawn Saturday in a field about 20 miles southeast of Lawrence in rural Douglas County.

A Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism conservation officer showed police to the scene of the accident. Scheibler was pronounced dead at the scene.
