K-State Salina Students to Provide Safe Trick-or-Treating Environment

K-State Salina students will provide little ghosts and goblins — and kids in other costumes — with more treats than tricks at the annual Trunk-or-Treat event.

As they have for the last seven years, students will decorate their vehicles with Halloween themes, dress in costume, and give candy to local children.

“Trunk-or-Treat is just a fun way for students to interact with people in the community. It’s a safe place for families to bring their kids and the students get to dress up for Halloween,” said Jennifer McLean, Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., junior in professional pilot and president of Women In Aviation, the club organizing the event.

Parents can bring their kids “Trunk-or-Treating” from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, in the parking lot west of the Student Life Center on the K-State Salina campus. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved into the Conference Room inside College Center.
