A 33-year-old Salina man was arrested on forgery and theft charges.

Sawlshon Murdoch of 313 Anderson, is alleged to have taken checks belonging to Justin Smith of Salina, and writing 16 checks between September 2nd and 4th at various businesses in Salina totaling $1,173.15 .

Police expect more arrests in the case.
