A trucker was injured after swerving to avoid another vehicle on I-70 Wednesday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 33-year-old Brent Nuest of Ellinwood, turned through the median in the construction area (approximately .3 miles West of Beverly Rd) and failed to yield to an oncoming semi.  The driver of the semi, 37-year-old Larry Dinwiddie, avoided the vehicle by going into the south ditch where it rolled onto its side.

Dinwiddie was transported to Salina Regional Health Center with injuries. Nuest was not injured.
