With everyone constantly being bombarded with everything going wrong, I think it’s time we all step back and take a good look at life. It’s amazingly funny. Mayby we all need to laugh a little bit more and frown a little less. I hope I can make you smile with my take on life.

Watching television last night I saw a commercial for a national insurance company that intriqued me. A major auto insurance company advertised a plug-in attachment to insert into your cars computer so you could “take Flo along to monitor your driving habits.” They offered some great discount if you just let the cute little brunette Flo ride along and she comes with the computer chip.

Being the Male Chauvinist Pig I occasionally tend to be, the first thing I thought of was, isn’t that’s what Wives/Girlfriends are for! But, at least I’m honest about it. The second thing that crossed my mind was that I would be the guy that would get his chip stolen from his car by some drunk who plugs it into his car. Then, I have to try and call Flo at the insurance company and try to convince her it really wasn’t me. I’m sure it would result in a $2000 insurance premium while I try to get it straightened out.

Then the worse scenario of all – My buddies at the garage would sneak the chip out of my car. Then insert it into one of their vehicles and drive it over to the strip club. After a few hours, they would go and get their car and sneak the chip back into my vehicle. And, of course, my girlfriend would find a way to go on the interenet and find a way to track the chip. It would show me spending the evening at Baby Dolls. My friends would be rolling with laughter while I spend the entire evening trying to recant the entire scenario. Yeah, my “friends” would do that to me!

The more I think about the entire system the more I am perfectly happy just letting my insurance comapny enjoy a certain amount of igorance about my driving habits. Of course that decision has absolutely nothing to do with my occasionally letting myself drift into a little Mario Andretti moment now and then….. Well I’ll continue to look for a little humor in every day, and keep you updated.
