Salina police are looking for a man who ran from police after a brief chase Tuesday morning in southwest Salina.
An officer tried to stop a car after the driver ran a stop sign near Schilling Road and I-135, about 10:30 am.
The driver did not stop and took off at about 45 mph. The driver got out of the car in the 700 block of Carriage Court.
An officer chased the man on foot, used a taser on the man as he climbed over a fence. The man then broke the probes on the taser, ran into a house in the 700 block of Banner Circle, made a phone call, much to the surprise of the occupants, and then left, leaving behind a cap and a Taser Probe.
A search of the car found two baggies of methamphetamine with a street value of $1,800.
Police said they know who they are looking for.
A passenger in the car was not charged .
