At approximately 12:31 AM Thursday night,  the Salina Fire Department was dispatched to a house on fire in the 900 block of North 3rd Street.

Upon arrival, fire crews reported that the house was well involved in fire. Reports by SPD officer on scene advised that the occupant was at work and that no one was inside the residence.

The fire was declared under control after about 1 hour.

There were no injuries associated with this fire and a damage estimate has not yet been determined.

The cause of this fire remains under investigation.
