The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has joined the investigation into the death of a man whose body was found near Great Bend.

Hunters found the body of 25-year-old Damon L. Galyard Saturday along a road southwest of Great Bend. He was shot to death.

Barton County Sheriff Greg Armstrong said Tuesday that a Great Bend home was searched twice on Saturday and a vehicle that might be connected to the case was recovered.

The Hutchinson News reports that Armstrong has said Galyardt’s body had not been near the road for long when it was found.
