Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 22. North northwest wind between 3 and 10 mph.

After a seasonally mild Wednesday, temperatures will drop as a potent cold front moves across the area. The cold front will traverse Kansas during the day Thursday which will cause temperatures to vary drastically across the state.

As the front passes, temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 30s while those areas ahead of the front will reach into the 40s and 50s during the daytime hours. Friday the cold air will take hold of the region with widespread 30s expected.
