Salina Chamber Seeks Public Input on Kansas State Tax Policy

On Monday, Salina Area Chamber President & CEO Dennis Lauver was named to a Kansas State Senate panel that will develop legislative tax policy recommendations – and he now seeks public input on the subject of tax policy.

“We appreciate the opportunity for Salina to have an active voice in such an important public policy issue. Part of our organization’s mission is to be an advocate for Salina and Salina employers on issues.”

“In late November, Salina Chamber members were mailed a tax policy survey. There are has been excellent response from chamber member businesses with some clear trends about their thinking on this issue.” Lauver said. “We now seek input from the general public.”

Members of the public are encouraged to complete the “Kansas Tax Policy Survey” posted at the Chamber’s website www.salinakansas.org.

January 13, 2012 will be the first meeting of the working group.
