Relatives of a man who was badly injured in a cement truck accident in eastern Geary County have decided to donate his organs.
The Topeka Capital-Journal reported that 29-year-old Travis Kemph was driving a full cement truck when it toppled onto its side while entering Interstate 70 from Kansas 18.
Family member David Miller said Thursday night that Kemph’s brain was “no longer functioning” and that the family has decided to donate his organs.
Kemph is from Newton but was living in Manhattan.
After the crash, Kemph was taken to Junction City’s Geary County Hospital. He then was airlifted to Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka.
