2012 is an election year and therefore, it will be filled with promises, lies, half truths, mud slinging, trash talking, etc etc.In other words: your government on parade.
Those wonderful folk elected to carry out your wishes and desires for your country. That group of people who have nothing but your interest at heart.
What makes this year so special is the presidential election. Once again the voters have a chance to have their say in who runs (down) the country for the next four years. It seems it will be a race between the incumbent, who by every poll is a sure loser, and Mitt Romney, who is a proven loser.
My dilemma centers on the alleged fact that the majority of the voters are dissatisfied with the incumbent and believe he and his policies are socialistic and bad for the nation. However, his party supports him. Does that mean his party is socialist? If they are not, why are they supporting him?
As for Mitt, well, he is not liked by most Republicans, but has the support of the established GOP leadership, and those RINO voters who believe he is the lesser of two evils….the other evil being Paul or Newt.
Regardless of who wins, the nation will still be in dire straits.
Then there is this headline: “Obama Takes On Big Government”. Are you kidding me? For three years by hook or crook, the man has increased the government workforce with Czars, new departments and agencies of government. Now, during this election year, he wants to play “Bain Capital II.” (Bain Capital One being the takeover of the auto industry).
He wants to reduce the workforce and combine agencies to save money and streamline the government. All of this in the guise of creating jobs in the private sector and bringing jobs back to America, and “helping” small businesses. Sounds good doesn’t it? But, be aware of Demos bearing gifts.
All the right words, at election time, and those agencies mentioned all have something to do with businesses and industries. Is it designed to help or is it designed to control? You be the judge.
