During the renovation process, the fish that currently call the aquarium home, will be safely transferred to the Milford Fish Hatchery, and returned upon completion. The renovations are scheduled to last approximately two months.

The Central Mall Aquarium is a unique and educational attraction, representative of a living and dynamic Kansas fish community. The aquarium is the largest free standing tank display in the state of Kansas, holding back nearly 15,000 gallons of water. The tank is home to 50-100 native Kansas fish including channel catfish, albino catfish, blue gill, largemouth and white bass, snapping turtles, as well as other harder to find fish as water conditions and availability allow. The aquarium was designed and built into the original foundation of the mall 25 years ago.
