Information Sought on Shooting of Dog West of Salina

The Saline County Sheriffs Office is asking the public to contact them if they have information concerning the shooting of a dog west of Salina.

James Brown who lives in on West State Street reported that between Sunday afternoon and Monday afternoon he noticed his brown German Shepard was limping and thought it might have been hit by a vehicle.

He took the dog to a vet and learned the dog had been shot in the leg. The leg had to be amputated.

The Sheriffs Office is asking for assistance from anyone who lives in the area of the 2600 to 2800 block of West State to call the Saline County Sheriffs Office.

It is believed the dog was shot while not on Brown’s property.
