It will be very windy across the area today. During the day southerly winds will be sustained with speeds of 30 to 35 mph with gusts to 40 to 45 possible. Then as a cold front passes through winds will become northwesterly, but remain gusty with sustained speeds of 30 to 35 mph and gusts near 40 mph. Ahead of the front showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible this morning.

More showers and thunderstorms will be possible across much of the area this afternoon.

Tonight: A 30 percent chance of showers before 9pm. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 28. Windy, with a west northwest wind 29 to 32 mph becoming west 14 to 17 mph. Winds could gust as high as 43 mph.
