SALINA, KAN. — Two Kansas State University Aviation students have been selected to receive the Cessna Leadership Scholarship. The students will use the $3,000 awards to obtain flight ratings.
The selected students are Carol Cooper, senior in professional pilot, Hutchinson, Kan.; and Megan Henderson, junior in professional pilot, Topeka, Kan.
The scholarships are made possible by a gift from Cessna Aircraft Company, Wichita, Kan., to the Kansas State University Foundation Changing Lives Campaign. “The men and women of Cessna respect the high quality aviation program at K-State and are proud to support the students there through this gift,” said Jim Walters, the company’s senior vice president for human resources. “The K-State aviation program is one of the many reasons Kansas remains a leader in aviation.”
