One person has been taken by air-ambulance to a Wichita hospital after a two vehicle accident near Haven.
That person, a female, was unconcious but breathing and was coded as critical. Hutchinson Fire Crews were called to the scene to help get the female victim from her car with the jaws of life. The driver of the other vehicle, a doctor, requested that the Midwest Lifeteam helicopter be dispatched. He was reportedly uninjured.
Details of the accident are still limited, but the doctor’s vehicle ended up in the eastbound lanes of the divided highway, while the other driver’s car ended up in the southeast ditch.
Names of the victims have not been released with Reno County Sheriff’s Deputies. The sheriff’s officials have said they will release more information as it becomes available.
The accident was reported shortly after 8 p-m.
