Construction Work Begins Tuesday on Crawford and Ohio Intersection

On Tuesday, March 6th, the contractor for the City of Salina will begin construction for improvements to the Ohio Street and Crawford Street intersection.

The initial work takes place at the northwest quadrant of the intersection.

Southbound Ohio Street will be closed from Prescott Avenue to
Crawford Street, and westbound Crawford Street will be closed from
Ohio Street to approximately 120 feet west of Ohio Street.

Motorists will be unable to execute left turns at the intersection throughout the duration of the project, as two-way traffic will be reduced to two lanes in all directions. Signage will be posted clearly marking traffic restrictions, and access to properties will be maintained at all times.

Each phase is expected to last approximately two weeks, with overall
completion in 60 days. Traffic delays are to be expected and motorists should consider alternate routes.
