A 33-year-old Salina woman is in the intensive care unit of a Wichita hospital after having her head slammed against the ground several times after an argument with another woman escalated Friday evening.

24-year-old Tiffany Byrd is alleged to have slammed the head of Trisha Cleveland against concrete just before 7pm, after an argument started over a man with whom both had been in a relationship with.

The aggravated battery occurred at 821 N. 2nd where Byrd lives.

Cleveland was taken to Salina Regional Health Center with facial and head injuries and then transported by air to Wesley Medical Center.
