A 29-year-old Dodge City woman has been charged with felony theft and battery for a shoplifting late Saturday afternoon at the Central Mall.

Amy Poole is alleged to have pushed an employee of Dillard’s several times after he confronted her for taking two purses and two wallets without paying for them around 5:35 pm Saturday afternoon.

The items taken were valued at $718, all of which was recovered.

Poole was charged with felony theft because of prior convictions.
