Someone has made off with some expensive granite countertop that was sitting at the back of a south Salina hotel.

Between 10:30 pm on March 31st and 6:30 am on April 2nd, five pieces of brown granite in slabs of 4’x3′ were taken from the Hampton Inn at 401 W. Schilling.

The granite had been removed from counters at the hotel during a remodel and were going to be used at another motel.

Value placed on the granite is $10,000 .
