My children and I went to the so called Easter Egg Hunt at Oakdale Park only to leave, literally 3 minutes later with disappointed kids. There was no kind of organization for anything. As we were pulling up we watched as they just stood there and threw the eggs in groups around them.
I do appreciate what they did for the children so don’t get me wrong, BUT an extra 20 minutes in planning would have made it so much better. It wouldn’t have hurt to set up ropes separating the age groups, since everyone just went where they wanted to go anyway. Having one age group go one at a time wouldn’t have hurt either.
I just would think that if your going to take the time to plan this then you would have taken the time to make it a tad more fun for the kids. They said 10 – 12 not 10 – 10:03. Honestly if this is what’s going to happen next year I will NOT be attending. Be easier and more fun for the children to just throw candy in the house and let them grab them all.
