A Manhattan man has filed a report with Salina Police that someone broke the jaw of his dog while it was in the backyard at a Salina home last weekend.

Michael Koop said the dog was injured while in the backyard of a home in the 600 block of Morningside on April 21st.

After the dog would not eat or drink, Koop took the dog to the veterinarian and the vet believed someone had taken a blunt instrument and struck the dog.

The breed and size of the dog was not available. Koop reported the incident to police Thursday.
