The St. John News reports intense police activity involving a manhunt for an unnamed subject continues within Stafford County.
According to sjnewsonline.com, one individual who was tasered has been taken into custody, along with one female. Numerous agencies are searching for additional suspects, with city police officers, support teams from Great Bend and Kansas Highway Patrol utilizing air support and K-9 units in the manhunt. The activity is occuring on NE 30th about 1 1/2 miles south of Quivira Rd.
The situation started out with a search warrant for some stolen property from Edwards County, but escalated into a drug bust and standoff, with one individual still on the loose. The suspect is believed to be hiding in a tree line north of the residence.
