UPDATE: Motorcycle Driver Flown To Wichita After Wreck

A 30-year-old Salina man was transported by Life Star from the scene of an accident Friday evening at Magnolia and Holmes Road.

Troy James Goff was traveling east on Magnolia on a 1997 Yamaha motorcycle Friday when the driver of a 1999 Dodge Dakota pickup pulled in front of him. The driver of the truck, 17-year-old Charles Ray Smith of Salina, was stopped facing north on Holmes and according to reports, said he saw a right-turn signal flashing on Goff’s motorcycle. Smith proceeded north through the intersection when Goff’s motorcycle hit the truck in the driver’s side door.

Goff was flown from the scene by helicopter to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Smith also reported an injury to his hand.

No citations were issued and the accident remains under investigation by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.

UPDATE: Goff was reported to be in critical condition as of 2pm Monday.
