An Abilene woman was arrested Tuesday on 12 counts of forgery, theft and felony theft.

29-year-old Laura Stroda is alleged to have written and signed 6 checks on the account of 31 year old Jakob Stroda of Abilene without his permission between April 26th and May 15th.

The checks were cashed at the Great Plains Federal Credit Union branches at 605 S. Ohio and 2061 S. Ohio.

The total of all the checks was just over $500.

Stroda was taken into custody at the Salina Police Station.
