A break in early Thursday morning nets thieves several items including a GPS system.

Between Midnight and 3:51a.m., someone broke a latch off of a door to a storage building at 300 N. 9th belonging to Sysco, a trucking company.

Taken was a Garmin GPS system, a silver clipboard that was inside a gray bag. A key to a truck was also taken that allowed access into one truck where jumper cables, a driving camera, and Sirius satellite radio were taken.

Loss and damage placed at $1,815.

No forced entry involved in a burglary of a Salina home during the midday Wednesday.

Between 11:45am and 12:55pm, someone entered the home of Matthew Brewer in the 100 block of S. 12th and took men’s, women’s, and girls clothing, along with a silver box chain, make up and a digital camera.

The home was ransacked. Loss placed at $1,646.
