A Florida woman was injured in a two vehicle accident on I-70 near Abilene, around 12:30 Monday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 38-year-old Chad R. Rutter of Abilene was westbound on I-70 (4 miles east of Abilene) and attempted a u-turn thru the grass to the eastbound side and turned in front of another vehicle that was also westbound.

39-year-old Beverly Hatfield of Seminole, FL was transported to Salina Regional Hospital with injuries. Her condition was not immediately known.

Rutter was not injured.
