Severe weather raked Kansas overnight, leaving behind some damage in Russell and La Crosse as several tornadoes touched down.

La Crosse police Chief Jason Reece tells The Wichita Eagle that the damage there was largely confined to a section of 1 of the main streets in the town of 1,342. No injuries were reported. But several businesses and a few mobile homes were destroyed.

In Russell, a woman suffered minor injuries. Russell County Emergency Management told KSN-TV that one house was destroyed and a few others were damaged.
