Irene B. Leiker, 93, of Salina, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012. She was born Oct. 8, 1918, in Ellis, the daughter of Anton G. and Pauline (Rupp) Sauer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sully Leiker; one son, Howard Leiker; one brother; and three sisters. She is survived by two sons, Charles (Donna) Leiker, of Valley Center and Rick (Dee) Leiker, of Salina; one daughter, Arlene (Tom) Cornwell, of Valley Center; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Fritz Sauer, of Garden City and Joe Sauer, of Rozell; and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family receiving friends will be from 5-8 p.m., with a rosary service at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Burial to follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice, and left in care of Ryan Mortuary.

HERINGTON — Kathy L. Sims, 62, of Herington, died Monday, May 21, 2012.
She was born July 26, 1949, in Puyallup, Wash., the daughter of Lee and Vivian Jeanette (Hunter) Dessanko.
Preceded by a brother, Michael Dessanko.
Survivors: a daughter, Isis (David) Mueller; two grandchildren, Athena and Eithan; two sisters, Deborah Wells and Bunny (Pat) Warren, all of Como, Miss.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Laura Ann Van Hook, 51, Salina, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012. She was born Dec. 30, 1960 in Wichita, the daughter of Walter Ernest and Peggy Lorene (Newman) Behrens. She worked as a registered nurse.
She is survived by her husband, John Van Hook; sister, Karen Snyder Taylor; three step-sisters, Debbie Shirkey, Pamela Mitchell and Kelly Simmons and her mother, Peggy Bowman.
Memorial services for Laura will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina, with the Rev. Carol Kuhlman officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of the mortuary.

Norma Mae (Kelly) Yoxall, 81, Minneapolis, Kansas passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012. She was born March 23, 1931 to Mabel Leona (Balderston) Kelly and Charles Franklin Kelly in Rooks County, Kansas. Norma was a 1949 graduate of Stockton High School. She married Donald Fred Yoxall in 1949.
Norma lived most of her life in Stockton, Kansas where she was a long-time dental office assistant. She also owned and operated Yoxall Oil Company and Dino Discount for over fifty years.
Norma loved her family and enjoyed every moment with her grandkids.
Survivors include her five children, Bonnie LaRue and Terri Bennett and husband Scott, of Stockton; Dianna Van Eaton and husband Quentin, and Dr. Kelly Yoxall, and wife Becky, of Minneapolis, KS; Steve Yoxall and wife Teal, of Littleton, Colorado; one brother, Donald Kelly, and wife Dee, of Aurora, Illinois; 15 grandchildren, Dr. Trent Van Eaton (Jenny), Mindy Jones (Jason), Brandon Towns (Brandi), Thane Van Eaton (Erica), Trevor Van Eaton, Tara Vance (Steve), Kalli McKee (Jacob), Sommer Yoxall, Logan Bennett, Regan Yoxall, Morgan Yoxall, Kammi Bennett, Andrew Yoxall, Alex Yoxall, and Eric Yoxall; and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Don LaRue.
Memorial Services are planned for 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 1 at the Stockton United Methodist Church with Pastor Les Ellis officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Stockton City Cemetery.
