Sheila (Boyer) Rush, 45, of Salina, died Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina. She was born Dec. 6, 1966, at Republic County Hospital, Belleville, the daughter of Duane and Carol Boyer. She was employed at Jim’s Formal Wear for over eight years.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy. She is survived by her husband, Dwight, and son Matthew, of the home; parents, Duane and Carol Boyer, of Belleville; brother, Marty Boyer, of Belleville; mother-in-law, Shirley Hopkins, of Salina; father-in-law, Ken Rush, of Gypsum; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina. Private inurnment will be at a later date.

The family suggests memorials to the Sheila Rush Memorial Fund, in care of Sunflower Bank.

Anna Platt, 89, of Salina, died Sunday, May 27, 2012. She was born May 31, 1922, in Saline County to John and Seraphine Budke. Anna graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Salina.

She married Harry H. Platt in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1980, in Minneapolis. She was also preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

She is survived by her children, Kathy Farres and husband Dennis, of Salina, and Jim Platt and wife Melanie, of Lafayette, Colo.; and her brother, John Budke, of Salina.

No services are planned. Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina, is handling arrangements.

Lynn A. DeAnda, 69, of Lenexa, formerly of Derby and Salina, passed away at home Sunday, May 20, 2012. She was born in Salina and graduated from Salina High School in 1960. Lynn was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend to all. She took on the grandmotherly role of her cul-de-sac and loved to bake cookies for the neighbor kids and loved her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her father, John O. Ramsey. Lynn is survived by her mother, June A. Ramsey, of Salina; children, Karen DeAnda (Shannon Webb), of Olathe, Bryan DeAnda, of Seattle, and Lori DeAnda, of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; sister, Julie (Kenny) Douglas; niece, Kelly (Sean) Reade; grandchildren, Jeremy and Alex DeAnda and Christy Webb; and great-grandsons, Savion DeAnda, and LJ and Noah Jerred.

A celebration of Lynn’s life will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, for friends and family. Condolences may be made at www.mcgilleygeorgegrandview.com.
