It appears our President may be a liar and a phony. I am not speaking of the promises he has broken, or the out right lies about the economy etc etc. I am talking about his personal life and the image he has presented of himself to the voters.
Before he got involved in politics he was going to write a book. His publicist put together a profile of the author. I assume (not a good idea I am told) that the author provided the information. Part of the profile said: “Born in Kenya and raised in Hawaii”. That statement is what “The Donald” was referring to the other day.
But the big picture of his phony image comes from the book he didn’t write “Dreams of my Father.” He wrote: The last two years of high school was a blur. I drank too much, used drugs enthusiastically, and it didn’t matter if I did blow with a brother in the hood or a rich kid in a condo. (sic)
Thus he paints a picture of a “cool” “with it” person. Maybe he was just trying to fit in with the Chicago street crowd. In the real world, had this info been pursued by his opponent or the media during any of his elections, chances are he would not have won, but even when asked during a debate if he inhaled, he replied, “Isn’t that the point? and got a lot of laughs and a lot of votes.
I do not believe he did any of those things. I believe it is a phony image to gain the respect and to fit in with the low to middle class. If he did all those things, how did he ever get into college……or dare we ask that question? No, our president has manufactured a persona to suit his purpose. Maybe during this election he may ask himself, “why did I say that?”
