The Riley County Police Department is investigating a string of fires early Monday morning.
There were no injuries reported.
The incidents all occurred around 2:30 a.m. Monday west of Kansas State University’s campus. Police say there was $100 damage to an empty apartment at 1803 College Heights. The unknown suspect set a small fire on the stove of the apartment.
Police and fire officials also reported damage to three vehicles.
- There was $10 damage to a 2001 Ford Ranger after a small fire was set in the truck bed. The truck was in the parking lot of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house.
- Nearly $4,000 damage was done after a fire set near a 2008 Chevrolet Cavalier. The car was parked at 1021 Denison Avenue.
- $18,000 damage was done to a 2010 Nissan Frontier parked on Quivera Circle.
No arrests have been made and the case remains under investigation.
